description
Bachelor Project from 2012.
The given assignment was to make a transit living space.
The site is Pfefferberg in the center of Berlin, Germany. This place is an old brewery site, and now the area contains many galleries, creative shops and Olafur Eliasson, the Icelandic/Danish artist has his workshop in this place.
The idea was to make a place where people who are only living in Berlin temporarily, can still have a home with a little more soul than a hotel room. We wanted to create a compact living space, which still contains everything that is necessary to maintain a comfortable life in a strange city. This Schuh Box (Shoe Box) contains sleeping place, bathroom, kitchen and a niche-window where you can sit and look outside.
