Redesign of State-X which is an annual festival in The Hague, Holland. The festival is focused only on alternative rock and electronic music. The goal was to let the music speak through everything, and at the same time get a youthful feeling about it.
The X in the logo is dynamic. It is defined by the music of the artist playing at the festival. The look of the X is defined by BPM (beats per minute), the amount of bass, middle tones and high tones. If a song has 100 BPM, 50% bass, 25% middle tones and 25% high tones, the logo will contain 100 parts, and be mainly purple as purple is the colour I've chosen for the bass. Green is middle tones and pink is high tones.
