Small iconic houses contribute to the atmosphere of a marketplace at ILOVIT, Copenhagen Art Festival 2012. One house functions as an info booth, five others as small shops. The colorful houses invite visitors to come closer. The laths merge into each other and create small surprising spatial sequences. Built-in furniture function as exhibition space. The houses are situated in between various pieces of art and performances. ILOVIT is developed and curated by danish artist Jeppe Hein and curator Christian Skovbjerg Jensen. Drawing on inspiration from the atmosphere of Tivoli and of the historic marketplace, the aim is to turn Højbro Plads, in the centre of Copenhagen, into a pulsating space of social interaction. /2012
The project is developed in collaboration with Nikolaj Steenfatt Thomsen, Nan Sofie Brøgger Sørensen and Fie Reffelt Jørgensen.
