description

A series of temporary installations in urban space is designed to shake up the usual movement patterns. As we increasingly shut out the surrounding world and often appear to be very absent on our way from one place to another, the surface below us is the only thing we really have to deal with. Bright tiles are based on the shape of the existing pavement, adding shifting levels and surprising but simple funhouse effects. These are placed temporarily on top of the original tiles and create a delimited area of something unfamiliar but easily understandable, that we must pass on our way. With simple means the installations function as catalysts for interaction between people. /2010
