description

By developing a collection focusing on material and silhouette, I wanted to limit the energy consumtion in the use phase in which about 80% of a garment's total environmental impact lies. The materials of which I have worked with are all either organically cultured or doing the least possible harm to the environment. These materials include the finest linen, bamboo, banana fiber, silk, lyocell, polyester and wool from fair trade licensed factories. I have also chosen to focus on variation in silhouette where the idea is that the carrier herself must feel involved in the expression of the garment, thereby raising the value of the clothes and giving them longer life.
