One of the major challenges in this project was how to communicate a large amount of data through a physical form.
3D and mock-up models gave me a good idea on how the object should function.

Brief // This project was conducted in cooperation with Grundfos and dealt with the subject; communication of water consumption through physical shape.

The idea for the design came from the sextant which is a navigation instrument used by sailors to help them find their “way” at sea. The object is called “Bion” which in Greek means “Unit of life”. Water consumption is communicated at two levels. At first glance the consumption can be read
intuitively, whereas the informative data can be derived by interacting with the object at close range.
